Atlanta Regional Commission meeting hosted by SST

Sandy Springs Together hosted the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) at North Springs United Methodist Church with more than 100 people attending, despite torrential downpours. Those attending the event included city council members and other community leaders. ARC reviewed the urgent need for affordable housing in our region. Our presentations are posted in our News blog for this event and available for downloads.
Leadership Council
For the last several years, an informal group of citizens have been working with the Couchmans. With the formation of Sandy Springs Together, the group has been formalized into the Sandy Springs Together Leadership Council. Members of the council volunteer their time and resources. Here are a few of them.
Public Meeting
February 28, 2019
Sandy Springs Together held its first general community meeting at North Springs United Methodist Church with more than 100 people attending. The meeting was advertised to the public through social media.
This was the first public meeting and, as of late April 2019, the only one that has reviewed the entire Task Force plan as approved by the city’s Task Force. The city government has NEVER held a public meeting on the final report.
Task Force Update
February 2, 2019
On February, 2, Sandy Springs Together presented an update to a group of about 30 community residents who gathered to learn about the Task Force report.
River Springs Initiative
December 1, 2018
About 60 supporters who formed the original group called the River Springs Initiative celebrated their milestones and the 3rd anniversary of visiting Drew Charter School and Purpose Built Communities.
